On Saturday the 21st of September 2019, the St. Peter’s Alumni and members of the Boat Club in 1969-70 came back to our boat house to celebrate the 50 years of their friendship and the 90 years of the College.
The day, blessed by a very nice weather, started with the naming ceremony of the Empacher boat “Spirit of the Seventies” the Alumni bought for the new crews. The rest of the morning was devoted to two races, in which two eights of Alumni challenged one of current students and members of St. Peter’s Boat Club. Lunch was then offered by the College at the Isis Farmhouse.
It was an incredible day and we are extremely grateful to the Alumni that bought the new boat, and jointly with the College and the Boat Club Committee organized this great event, bonding our past and current students together. We are already looking forward to the next reunion!
