Wedding Congratulations

The Boat Club would like to offer its heartfelt congratulations to three alumni who celebrated their weddings this weekend.


Our best wishes go to our former President Thomas Summers and our coach Freya Porteous for pooling their experience on a new course at York Minster yesterday. Bride and groom got to know each other at SPCBC in 2007 when Freya started to coach the Men’s First VIII and soon fell in love with the Boat Club’s President.


Last Saturday also saw the marriage of Thomas Chapman (former Men’s 1st VIII) and Caroline Elliott near Tonbridge. Both newlywed grooms rowed together in the Men’s 1st VIII in 2007. We would like to wish both couples the best of luck for the future and a happy honeymoon!
